Small Wedding at Bruisyard Hall | Emily & Andrew

2022 set a personal record for number of wedding I photographed at Bruisyard Country Estate (a grand total of 9 starting in January right through to November). It’s a venue I love and has been a favourite since moving to Suffolk from Kent a decade ago. Being based in nearby Aldeburgh, Bruisyard is only a twenty minute drive away, which also makes me one of the venues most local Suffolk wedding photographers (which is great if you’re conscious of your impact on the environment and want to support the local economy - see here for more on the advantages this offers ).

Small Wedding at Bruisyard Country Estate

Emily & Andrew knew they wanted a small and intimate wedding from the moment they began planning. Bruisyard Hall fitted their plans perfectly and allowed their family and closest friends to join them for an extended mid-week stay at this wonderful spot in the Suffolk countryside. They were one of many couples who booked my Small Weddings package during the year, customising their coverage with having me return the next day to photograph a lunch at which their extended family and friends came to share in their celebrations. The last couple of years has seen many couples opt for similar plans which suit those wanting something a little bit different to the usual wedding day.

The Best of Suppliers

Emily & Andrew’s day was full of personal touches and details plus some of the nicest fellow wedding suppliers around. I regularly see Victoria Bradfield throughout the year and it was great to catch up with recent TWIA award winning hair stylist, Stacie Goodwin. Flowers were by Cambridge based florist What The Fleur who I last came across at Harriet & Adrian’s wedding a couple of years ago.

Here’s a selection of photos from the day. If you’re planning your own Suffolk wedding (big or small), I’d love to hear from you. Simply head to the Contact page, pop in your details and let’s get chatting!
